In my latest one step update (Q10D, latest revision). Quicken properly
placed end of month interest credits in two different banks savings
accounts as deposits, but also placed them as debits, but reversing
the banks? Discover & ING in this case.

Any clues?

The only clue I did find was that the category assigned to each of the
downloads was the name of the other account to which it showed up as a
debit. Not an assignment I made.

Look for one or more Memorized transactions for the payees in the interest
transactions ... Memorized transactions that create transfers.

Also consider not using the option to "Automatically memorize new payees".
