I am trying to make PT more suitable to my business, I do no shipping
nor do I sell products.
I would like to remove the shipping references in invoices.
I read somewhere you can edit in templates, I dont seem to have that
on the menu.
Can anyone suggest a fix for this ?

Thank you in advance

EM

Modifying the template only removes the fields from your data entry screen.
It has no effect on your printed invoices. If you are using Peachtree First
Accounting, it does not support using Templates. If you are using any flavor
other than Peachtree First Accounting, a Templates button appears at the top
of the Sales/Invoicing screen beside the other buttons such as Save or Open.

If you want to modify the printed invoice appearance, you can do that no
matter which Peachtree flavor you use. You do that under Reports>Accounts
Receivable. Click the Invoices folder and click once on the invoice form you
want to modify. Then click the Design button and make and save any desired
changes.

Thank you, I am trying that, But I am not able to get rid of "ship
to" "sale rep" etc that are in bold. I can view the properties for
them and change the font size but I cannot make them go away.

Thank you

Ed

On the form, in the Design mode, click on the item you don't want and press
the Delete key.

I tried that several times. nothing happens. I noticed there are
several invoices types in the list, I have been trying the invoice
listed on the top.
I dont know which particular one comes up when I go to TASKS/ SALES-
INVOICING to create a invoice for a client.

Thank you.

Ed are you trying to change the way the screen looks when you go to
Tasks>Sales/Invoicing or are you trying to change the way the invoice
actually prints out?

They are not. They are completely independent of each other. What Peachtree
flavor are you using? Is it Peachtree First Accounting, Peachtree
Accounting, Peachtree Complete Accounting or Peachtree Premium Accounting.
It should say when you first bring up Peachtree or you can go to Help>About
Peachtree.

OK. In your version you cannot modify what you see on the screen when you go
to Tasks>Sales/Invoicing. That is called modifying the Template and is
available in every other flavor except "First" Accounting.

You can modify the printed version by going into the Design mode as I
mentioned earlier.
