Did you only have the one *.mbf file surviving from your previous
install? Maybe you could search your non-formatted drives for any
*.mbf or *.mny files. I suspect you are too far along after your
format for a file recovery program to recover your *.mbf file from
after the format. You normally would do a File->Restore of a *.mbf
file. In restoring, I would not restore to your "default location",
but instead Browse to your Documents/MyDocuments folder, and choose
a new name.
An empty backup file that is not compressed might be about 3 MB. An
empty compressed backup file would be smaller.
