Hi, I would very much appreciate advice/help on the problem I'm
encountering when starting Money (Version 12)

Recently, when starting Money I find that it opens up with the wrong
info - i.e. it displays my accounts as they were a few days ago.

I am able to restore the correct details from my backup, which is made
to my NAS drive. I can also restore from a backup file that Money
seems to make to my C drive.

I would also like to mmove Money from my C drive to my D drive, but am
not sure how to do this.

Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated

Cheers

Peter

Close Money, drag and drop the money file from C driver to wherever you want
it on your D drive, then double click the file to open it from there.
Thereafter, it will open correctly from your shortcut.

Be sure that your Money and backup files are moved to a spot that
you will have full privileges to, such as within the user's
Documents folder. If they are in ProgramFiles, Vista or Windows 7
will create an impermanent copy of the file for the user to use,
unless the user explicitly right-clicks at launch and choose
RunAsAdministrator that time.

I would keep Money installed on the same drive as your OS. However
to move the data files (*.mny and *.mbf), use the OS to move the
files. Then open the files by double-clicking the new location, or
browsing there with File->Open within Money.
