When QuickBooks starts Color Depth is lowered to 8-bit

Running Windows XP - Color Depth lowers to 8 bit whenever QB Pro 2008
is opened. If you change it back to 32-bit afterwards, it works fine
for the rest of the day, but the next day when QuickBooks is opened
again, it opens 8-bit again.

For other reasons I have already (it wouldnt open at all):

Ran reboot.bat
Repaired QuickBooks
Uninstalled/Reinstalled QuickBooks - did a clean uninstall (removed
directories, as well as registry keys)
Removed and re-installed all .net frameworks (this is what solved the
problem of it not opening, was hoping it would solve this problem
too)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

No real info, but I'd look for updated video drivers for your specific
hardware first...

Its not your drivers. I've had the same problem using Win7 (which has been a pain so far). I had to go the program file and left click, choose properties, choose the compatibility tab, and see if "run in 256 color" is checked. Thats win 7, not sure how to change that in XP but that was caused mine to do it. Hope it helps.
