I suggest that you not restore to the default of "\My Money.mny".
Unless you RunAsAdministrator, that would be a place you could not
normally write to. Instead, tell Money to restore to your Documents
folder.
If that does not do it, try using a filename without a space, such
as "nhill.mny".
If still no joy, right-click the Money launch icon, and try
RunAsAdministrator. Then restore, etc. If that fixes things, you can
either continue to do that, or work things thru so that you don't
have to do it.
