I need to split LLC 1 into LLC 1 and LLC 2. One part of the business will stay as the original single member llc and the other part of the business will form llc 2 with 3 members. Now my question is: Can I just form a new llc and transfer the assets over or do I need to make a sale from llc 1 to llc 2?
