Hi everyone. I didn't know where else to turn so I'm hoping someone has some
ideas or prior experience. I'm a Canadian who downloaded QuickTax Standard
and in turn also purchased Norton Anti-Virus 2003 through the intuit.ca
website. The purchase also mentioned that with rebates, Norton AV would be
FREE. Well to put it bluntly, it's not free...in fact there are NO
rebates...at least not according to Symantec. I applied for the $40 NAV
Intuit Bundle rebate and after 3 months, received a card from Symantec
telling me that "More than one product must be purchased in order to qualify
for the rebate"

Well of course that's BS since I DID buy both and followed the directions
EXACTLY from Intuit. I called the support number on the postcard and after
being put on hold several times, was finally told that the rebate doesn't
apply to Internet purchasers! But the support guy did say he'll check into
it and call me back within 72 hours. I'm pretty doubtful I'll ever hear
back. You can't contact Intuit...at least I'm not paying for a long distance
call or any support fee. Their online chat function no longer works...on
either the Canadian OR U.S. site!

Sorry about the long message but I'd like to know if anyone else bought
these products online from Intuit and actually received their rebate(s). Any
ideas what I should do or who to complain to?

Thanks!

Regards,
Mike

Great. I have actually applied for a rebate from them in the past and I did
receive it. But this time it looks like I'm out of luck. If they had a
storefront operation you could go in there and raise hell but in this case
you have no where to turn to.

Thanks for your input.

Mike - wrong forum! This is about Quicken/Intuit, not Symantec.
