Hello,
I have some questions about accountancy software, maybe there are some
experts here that could reply, it's more of a feedback.
Anyone using the online version of Quick Books? Is it a viable idea? Do
you think people should consider it? Or is it some kind of fear of
insecurity of everything that's stored online or by a 3rd party?
Do you see a business case for online accountancy like that?
I know I had an idea like that some while ago, but turned it down due to
what I considered to be not a good ideea yet. I'm just interested to
see how you people feel about it.
Cheers,
Mike

hi there,

i use sql-ledger at www.sql-ledger.org and its a really neat package - web
based and i have it installed on a server and can access it from anywhere
with a browser.

importantly it has a menu item which means all the data gets put into a
file wich you then download and store somewhere.

best of all - its open source (i.e. free) although i bought a support
package for $99 which gives me same day email support and a manual.

I tried using it with a client and it was too awkward. We went back to
him emailing the data for me to review.
