I am helping a friend who is a writer with her accounting. She sells her book in hard cover and ebook version.
This may seem as a dumb question, but I wonder if it is correct that there are no COGS with regard to ebook sales, since she doesn't carry physical inventory (generates the ebook on demand) and, from her perspective, there is no additional cost involved, The cost for the ebook creation was expensed at the time it occurred.
