told Congress in 2001 that the league showed a $232 million
loss for the year, but only months later Forbes reported the
figure as an operating profit of $75 million.

Major League Baseball teams are now violating federal
anti-scalping laws following the lead of the minor league
team on the north side of Chicago. Using a corporate
complex labyrinth, they are hiding profits from taxation.
