Account register increase/decrease order

The account registers columns increase and decrease do not follow the
traditional order of debits on the left and credits on the right. Asset and
expense increases, debits, in SBA are in the right hand column while
liability and income increases, credits, are in the left column.

What about the check registers given out by the banks. Increases on the
right and decreases on the left. The whole world has gone mad. We are the
only sane ones left.

Good thing I can drag the columns to any position it want in SBA.

Thank you. I didn't think the registers could be changed in any way
since there is no "Modify Report" button. Much to my surprise,
rearranging columns in one register will apparently aply the change to
all registers and remain after closing SBA.

From the bank's point of view it is correct. The increases to your
bank balance on the right is an increase to the bank's liabity to you.
A debit purchase or the phrase "credit my account" are from the bank's
perspective.

Macy,

True, but it's my check register and it should be from my point of view
not the banks.
