Question: We received our monthly credit card bill and to our surprise we received a $50.00 loyalty reward towards our bill. Ex. Monthly charges: $500, Loyalty reward $-50, Total due $450. How is this $50 recognized. Do we show it as a credit to expense or as some type revenue/Gain?? All answers and opinions are appreciated

If it's related to the expense then it should be credited against that expense.

If it's seperate from the expense then it should be classified as Other Operating Income.
