USA Accounting for income outside of business operations?

Hi everyone,

I just recently started a computer repair business in July 2016.

To gain capital to invest in the business, I do maintenance work for my father, who owns rental properties.

I bill him through my business even though the work isn't related to computer repair at all. Is that a big no-no?
