Accounting Magazine Subscriptions

Anyone recommend an Accounting Magazine subscription to order out there.

Something to glance at when I have some free time resting at the beach etc..

I did a quick Google search and found a few but recommendations would be
preferred.

Thank you.

I'm not too sure what your proficiency is in accounting, but I have
found that the CA magazine has very good articles in it. It is also
used for many accounting courses.

You can access the magazine for free online at:
http://www.camagazine.com/index.cfm/ci_id/287/la_id/1.htm

I'm not sure how you would subscribe to it, it is usually mailed out to
all students and members of the organization.

The CGA's also have a magazine it also a good magazine but I did not
find it to be as good in terms of the quality of articles in it.

I imagine the CMA's have their own magazine too but I've never come
across it.

If you happen to be in Canada The Bottom Line is an excellent publication.
Its quite expensive about $75.00 per year but well worth it.

Magazines i'd recommend: none. I've never found one of any use.

I wouldn't bother. All magazines exist for one reason and
one reason only: TO SELL ADS.

I don't pay $2.95-$6.95 an issue for a magazine to serve me
up ads.

Don't bother. Save the $75.00. I can think of better things to spend
$75.00 on instead of $75.00 to have ads served up to me.

Also no publication is worth that kind of money for a year.

Consumer Reports is an excellent magazine with no outside advertising.

Surely there are others.

Let me put it this way: every accounting magazine i've come accross is
infested with ads.

Try CFO - I receive a free subscription since filling out a brief survey, excellent articles - not too many ads.

The ads are the reason you would only pay $2.95-$6.95 per issue.
Subscription fees don't even cover half of the cost of producing and
distributing the magazine.

But then I skip the magazine entirely, pay exactly zero dollars, and
skip the ads. I have yet to find a magazine worth reading, much
less paying for.

Then I doubt you'd pay the price they would ask for a magazine with no ads.
