Defining accounting policies has been our lifes. However, it doesn't
seem like most people go to the same level of detail when it comes to
policy definition. When talking about accounting policies, most people
think we are talking about procedures. In most companies (at least
from what I know), people use the term accounting policy and
procedures together to mean one thing. To us, they are very dsitinct
    things.

When we define policies, we define them in excel and in super detail.
We list out sample schedules, any calculations and sample bookings.
Many of these policies are complex and contains a lot of calculation
    in the sheet.

Do you model your policies that way? Are we crazy?
