Hi,

I have a few questions I would like to ask:

When there is a negative retain earnings, generally, is there a net loss? How is it possible to have a net income?

On liabilities, if a company issue stocks to a shareholder for a loan, why is it listed negative?
Example:
Non current liability:
Shareholder loan Bob -50,000
Bank loan 100,000

If retained earnings is negative then there has been losses. But in the current year the company could make a profit and so current year income could be positive while the retained earnings overall are negative.

Your example on the loan is not clear. Can you re-post?
