When I see a subject of alternative personal finance softwares I post a
link
Why?
Why do you like it so well?
Because I am the developer of 'KBH Investor Accounting' I know of its
computational sophistication...For instance extraordinary inputs that
traditionally mess up commercial softwares are translated to a correct
ending value with this program and a fault line noted. Of course with most
out-of-date inputs the program just re-calculates the mark-to-market
accounting without problem.
'KBH Investor Accounting' will track the intermediate value of short sales
including call writes...and this is fundamental to investment endeavor.
The mark-to-market profit/loss accounting is just a practical year-to-date
portfolio gain or loss...This gives the portfolio result by each year.
The program matches realized transactions on a FIFO basis without requiring
that positions be closed out in blocks...
The program is not a superficial accounting but is a record of
inputs...However, a current input mistake can be corrected with installation
of back-up files kept a few transactions in the past.
All functions of the program are equally weighted in importance and access.
In other words the program is professional in nature in that the accounting
result is not hidden from the user.
And among many more things, the program is dedicated in purpose to portfolio
accounting.
