USA Allowance for Doubtful Accounts

My company has only been around 2 years and we just implemented an allowance for doubtful accounts 2 months ago. The dollar amount that was used was intended to cover all of 2019 but the funds have already been drained. My question is, do we "refill" the allowance now or wait until next year and "refill" for a higher amount?

Use whatever method you use to estimate the correct size of the allowance and “refill” (record the provision) now.
