Hi @all,
I was thinking about ways to analytically check hotel revenues, so if they are somewhat correct. Now I wanted to ask you to give me feedback / additional hints besides from my own suggestions:
Are these correct or would you add something? Help much appreciated, thank you!
I was thinking about ways to analytically check hotel revenues, so if they are somewhat correct. Now I wanted to ask you to give me feedback / additional hints besides from my own suggestions:
- Check local statistics about hotel bookings and comparing it to prior year distributions between the different hotels in order to see if we come up correctly
- Check accounting ratios like gross profit margin and cash conversion cycle
- Check number of guests (comparing new vs. existing guests)
- Check IT-Systems if they are working properly
- Run a linear regression in terms of monthly distribution
- Benford's Law in Order to Check the numbers
- Looking at their planning numbers
- Look at receivables (I would expect that a hotel won't have much as you settle your trip in cash)
Are these correct or would you add something? Help much appreciated, thank you!
