Just got a letter from my Housing Benefit Office.

REASON FOR CALCULATION : Annual Uprating.

What is this "annual uprating" about?

I'm sure you got a similar letter last year. And the year before...

It's to do with benefit amounts increasing.

No actually, this is the first letter of this kind that I have seen. The
only letters I usually get once a year are council tax letters, and it is
perfectly clear that they are for council tax, ie how much I should pay.

The letter I got today does not look anything like that. At the top of the
letter, it states BENEFIT DECISION NOTICE.
I am not sure if they mean I have to pay x amount towards rent or I have to
pay something towards council tax, because of the ESA component I am
supposed to get.

Can the WRA component affect how much HB or CT I have to pay?

I wouldn't have thought so but I must confess I don't honestly know.
