Any benefit to registering 2011?

I

Ian McCall

I'm in the UK, and the registration is asking me for valid state and
zip code. Clearly I'm not going to be able to fill in any values it
understands.

Any benefit to the registration or am I fine just leaving it?

Cheers,
Ian

Register using any valide city/Zip.
For example Mountain View, CA 94043
which is Intuit address

That will prevent Quicken nagging you all the time.
Otherwise, no necessity :)

Just leave it - won't harm anything.

Nobody has to "register" any software product. It is a marketing tool only. It is
designed to obtain PII and demographics for future contacts to sell your more stuff.

If you do want to be annoyed by the popups, put in phony information. Hey, put in
Intuit's address , phone number, etc.

Gee, I never thought of that, I've been using your address, phone
number, etc. ;-)

No wonder Intuit sends all that Junk mail to that address :)

Well...ish. Depends if they also use it for authentication, e.g.
installation of software updates or checking for valid licensing codes
etc.. That's what I was worried about - more than happy not to be
spammed, considerably less happy to suddenly be cut off from use or the
ability to apply updates.

Worst case scenario: If you're ever "cut off," register.
