I have just failed the Habitual Residency Test and have put in an
appeal. What is the statutory Maximum period this appeal could take ?
ie do they have to give me an answer within 2 weeks , 4 weeks , 6
weeks etc ?

There isn't one. The DWP should sumit the appeal to the tribunal within 90
days, I don'tknow if there's a target for the tribunal to hear it though.
The best people to ask for anindication is the local appeal section at the
DWP office, they may give you an estimate but it is just that and largely
out of their control.
