Assemblies

What is the thoughts behind "assemblies"? Is it used to stick parts (in
stock) into a "higher" assembly. Then when something is sold, it can be
identified as an Assembly verses individual parts?

If so, when one set up an assembly within quickbooks, does it just affect
the "asset" side of the accounting equation?

Any help appreciated, flames ignored.

If you have parts A & B that make part C. You can "assemble" part C and
carry it in inventory and sell it.

In QuickBooks there is no monetary effect on any account.

I try not to answer any parts of your questions in the future.

While this is a good answer, I need the whole question answered.

I meant the accounting equation. You can end up moving items from one
inventory asset account to another.
