Hi, I'm 40, with a bachelor's and master's but no training in finance or accounting. The local community college offers an associate's in accounting for about 2yrs and $10k.

My aim in the very long term is to do accounting for small businesses and individuals, hopefully on a freelance basis. Of course I'm willing to spend a few years working with someone to get the experience first. With that goal in mind, would this be a reasonable place to start?

    thank you,
    sal
