UK Auto-Enrolment

I just found out that one of my client is 3 months late registering for pension auto-enrollment scheme.
Should i enroll them and just leave first 3 months with no contributions??
Can anyone share their wisdom??

I'm not sure, although there was a deadline for everybody affected being enrolled, so I would think that the first 3 months contributions would still have to be paid.

Might be best to ask the pensions regulator directly.
