Barclaycard Goldfish web download

I have been a long standing Goldfish credit card customer, but effectively
the card has now become a Barclyacard. Previously I had been able to
download transactions from Golkdfish website in Money 2002, but in the
latest website there is only a statemnt "Save as" option. I have selected
both the ofx and ofc option. In both cases MOney attempts to import the
data but then says that it is "invalid or corrupt data". This website may
now be same as standard Barclaycard users so can any one help? I am
probably missing something obvious, but I can't see it

Alan, I noticed the same. Barclaycard have been making 'improvements' to
their website for a few weeks now, and I believe that the version of the
..ofx file is not compatible with Money 2002. Previously there was an option
of v1 or v2 (or similar ?), I found that only the older version worked.

Alan and Kevin,

I was recently moved to a Barclaycard credit card havinn come from the
obsolete Morgan Stanley credit card and I have found the same problem you
describe for ofx files. Despite their reassurances I have found the only
solution is to download using "quicken" format which works quite well in that
MS Money 2005 (UK) recognises and assigns it to the correct account without
you having to save it somewhere first.

Watch out though as all the transactions are imported as debits (or should I
say credits in the wacky world of credit card economics) column. It's a good
workaround for now as the only credits you get on your credit card statement
are the monthly pay ins, the monthly cashbacks and perhaps the odd retailer
refund, so they are easy to spot.

Many thanks for both posts which have both been very helpful. I wrote to
Barclaycard, but had a load of waffle back which did not really answer
my questions, I wanted answers to a) did Barclycard have a policy of
not supporting old software and b) could they look at this specific
issue. I guess that the fact they didn't answer, probably means "Yes" &
"No".

I was also suprised to find that the Qucken QIF download files work well
in my Money 2002, apart from credits appearing as debits. As you say,
this is a trivial problem for a credit card statement as the number of
credits is very small (unfortunately for my finances!).
