Bill contractor first and then bill client?

Hi,

I do web hosting. A lot of times a web designer will have me register
a domain and hosting for one year for their client. Initially, I bill
the web designer, but in the second year I need to bill the web site
owner.

How do you think I should handle this?

Thanks,
Jamison

What is the question? I think you have the answer below, bill the first
customer for his period of time, then when the time passes bill the site
owner for the service is what you would do. Do you need a reminder? QB
has a reminder feature that could alert you when to contact the second
party to the transaction.

If that isn't what you're asking please elaborate.

I would bill the web designer as you're probably already doing. Then I would
set up the owner as a customer and create a memorized transaction to occur
in one year. Either have it remind you or automatically enter.
