Budget doesn't show items correctly

I am noticing in ("Review your current budget status") page
that I have 2 life insurance policies IN THE BUDGET and
they were paid for the current month. Yet it shows one of
the policies as being over budget.

Example:

Expenses over budgeted limits
Actual Budgeted Difference
Insurance:Life 136.39 64.11 (72.28)

Both polices (64.11 and 72.28) are listed in the budget
when I click expenses, yet the 72.28 one is being show as
over budget???

why? Its like it doesn't recognize the 72.28 as part of
the budget. ??

If the budgeted amount for this month is 64.11, then you are 72.28
over-budget, because you've spent 136.39 this month. As far as i can see,
this is correctly being shown. You will need to transfer in 72.28 into the
insurance:life category to get the budget to balance.

But that's what I'm saying. When you click expenses to
edit budget categories. There are TWO listed for
Insurance:Life, the 64.11 one and the 72.28 one.

But whe i go back to the other view, i get the discrepency.

I see what you mean now. If you look at next month (or next year if this has
been added as an annual expense), you might find the entry there. This would
be the case if you added the item during this month, when the July budget
period was already in operation. In these circumstances, a reallocation of
funds should be performed as adjustments to the period in progress are not
used until the next month.

Yea I think your right I think I noticed that before.
Actually , both of these insurance policies are quarterly
(every 3 months) but fall on different months.

I may have added the one not showing up this month, I'll
check it out next month. Very confusing the way the budget
works.

Thanks for the help though! This is really a good
newsgroup on a subject thats hard to find help for!
