Me and wife are in the process of buying a hectare of agricultural land
in the Philippines.
What should I know...does the Cancer-ler want a bite of my cash?
Are there tax breaks?

Matter of fact, 'we' own a residential lot already...this was purchased
before wife gained
brit citizenship and according to Philippine law, is in her name only.

if your wife comes from there she should know all the answers regarding land
purchase or at least know a man that does

What should I know

A friend needed to hire a guard to prevent people trying to take
possession. The guard was corrupt and turned on him, so he got a
second guard with a bigger gun to make the chap see the error of his
ways.

5 years ago a life cost $100, but inflation may have changed this.
