USA Can a thank you bonus be treated as revenue?

One of our vendors wants to give us a thank you bonus. We have been doing a good job selling there product, and they want to send us money. Can we treat this as revenue? Technically they wouldn't be paying us for anything specific other then doing a good job.

You can't treat it as revenue, but you could treat it as 'other income from goodwill gestures' or something like that if you want the bonus to go into the business rather than sharing it out.

Hmm...strange they want to pay extra. Is there a contract that allows this as its very unusual for a vendor to be allowed to pay extra for no service? If there is not and they are really voluntarily paying extra I would just record as "Other Income" as Fidget states. If its in the contract and they are paying due to you meeting the requirement then I would count as part of the sales revenue.
