Unmarried couple converts joint tenancy to tenancy in common in unequal shares, which I understand is exempt from CGT but if they convert it back from tenancy in common to joint tenancy, would that be exempt from CGT as well? Is there a rules that these transfers need to be reported to HMRC within a specific time frame? All I can find is about married couples. This is specifically asking about unmarried couple.
