CeMAP career-can you answer my questions please?

Hello,
I used to be a mortgage introducer, and would like to become a motgage
advisor, but would like some advice from someone whos been there, bought
the t-shirt and has worn it out !!

1)ive seen ifs cd-roms-can these get me through the exams,or would i
need to do a course? or are there good ol' books that can get me
through?

2)how hard is it for a newcomer to the industry to get in once ive
gained cemap?

3)what are REALISTIC earnings for newly qualified a)tied,self-employed
b)employed advisors- i live in leeds, but plan at the end of the year
to move to london?

4)is there a healthy market for newly qualifieds,or is the market
awash with them(will i be fighting against hordes at every interview)?

5)from the vacancies ive seen, bonuses are a major part of income. Is
advisor a misnomer-would salesman be more apt,and if so,are heavy sell
tactics employed??

6)one of the courses i have looked at-total training network, gives
income examples based on 1 fee paying case per week-this sounds
amazingly low-or is that aboutthe average closes a week for a mortgage
advisor?

7)they speak of independent advisors-is it hard to find clients if i
go it alone??
8) can a "tied" self-employed advisor also get outside work?

i hope you can help me-it looks a lot of questions, but i imagine they
are easy enough to answer briefly, thanks. please post reply to

Any bonus-driven job will only attract the greasy self-serving con
man. Thus the distrust of this pseudo-profession by the public.

Perverse verses, putrid poetry, diabolical doggerel...

tidyogg-get a life...
im here looking for information-not your drivel.
as for your comments about pseudo-proffesion-what is your fantastic
source of income then?judging from the waffle on your site, you dont
have one.
also-because of cowboys, the mortgage industry is now TIGHTLY regulated
by the government-if you have a look at cemap qualifications, you will
see that rogues wont last long-they mess about-lose certification- no
"pseudo-job".
most jobs in life involve "selling"-products dont move without it,so
try not to stick your nose to high in the air, even charities use door
to door salespeople-i suppose thats "pseudo" greasy, etc.,too?
if you have something constructive to say, especially about spam, let me
know-i realise i should have put something in my address to stop
spam, but forgot-some of us also have worries-wonder if you do?
hopefully, norton professional and my firewall will stop junk-but if
not,ill live on...
