it's been about 40 days since my lawyer and myself went to the
creditor's meeting. If there was a problem with the c.c. companies
would we have heard from them by now? thanks.

Probably. They have until the end of the sixty days after the meeting of
creditors to file a complaint, but the smart ones make/made a written
request for informal discovery before filing to insulate themselves from
allegations of filing a complaint without substantial justification. You
can't count on anything until your bar date passes, though.
