CIA or CFA

Hi, I am already an experienced auditor, but lately I felt that
I got stagnant since I did no longer attend to major
audit/accounting seminars that I usually attend to
3 years ago. Hence I decided to pursue another license.
But I am torn between which license to pursue, CIA or CFA?
I am currently CPA with a degree of MBA. I am former
external auditor, became internal auditor and now I
am Chief Compliance Officer of certain company.

Career wise which license should I pursue first? CIA or CFA or
other licenses? Just need some of the advices of seasoned
accountants here. :)

Thank you.

Hi the_magician,
Since you already have hands on experience in Auditing, I will recommend that you go for the CIA certification. CFA is good but that would mean you shifting to the equity analyst side of the game. If you really want to get another challenge, you can try CISA.
Thanks

CIA. Makes no sense at this point in your career to do a vertical shift to the equity side of analysis already having auditing experience. Unless you're looking to completely change your career track do the CIA.
