concern of ads in M2005

Hi

I read of a case on the US group that Money 2005 is putting ads on to the
user's desktop each time it is run ? will this be the same for the UK
version ? there seem to be a large number of unhappy users in the US ?

Hi David - the UK and US versions are different. I've not yet seen a single
ad appear on my desktop with Money 2005 (although there could have been one
or two links added on install, but I removed them). I've just responded to
your post in the US group with a similar comment.

I've not yet tried to analyze the US problems totally, and I personally am
quite happy with 2005 (would be even happier once MoneyLink and the PPC
add-in ship). However I belive a lot of the US problems are to do with the
online stuff - things that we have less of in the UK, so doesn't affect us
too much. There are some common things in the two regions which you may or
may not like (eg single list categories), but until the trial versions are
out, people can't really see what's in it without shelling out cash. That
has added to the frustration and problems over there.

Now that i've said that, I am sure there will be lively debate in here when
people start using 2005 a lot more here ;-) Is it faster/slower. DO you
like the interface, the integration with MSN Money etc.

Thanks Glyn,

I concur with your experiences, just wondering what moneyLink is ?

MoneyLink is the tool which allows you to extract data into Excel. Made by a
company called UltraSoft (free add on).
