We are an EPS(foam) ware producer and we have constructed 2 pools at factory to supply water for the boiling equipments. it costs approx $10,000, and it took a time of 3 months to be completed. What asset to be debited for the amounts paid ? 1-Building 2-Equipments or installations or what else? and could we debit the capital work in process during the construction or we should take to the building or equipments accounts from the start of expneses?

You are building a piece of equipment (water supply) and not a building so when it is complete I would debit Equipment. While it is being built I would post the costs to Work in Process. When complete, credit Work in Process and Debit Equipment
