Crash when attempting to make an ePayment to one particular payee

About a month ago, I upgraded from Money 2004 to Money 2007. Overall, the
    upgrade has gone well--until today.

I tried to make a non-scheduled payment to one of my defined payees--a
credit card account which also happens to be defined in Money. After
initiating a new payment, specifying it as an ePayment, typing the name of
the payee, and then pressing the tab key to go to the dollar amount field,
Money 2007 crashes. There is no error message. It does offer to send the
details to Microsoft (which I do) but it tells me nothing otherwise.

I re-launched Money and attempted to do the same transaction; it crashed
    again.

I re-launched Money yet again--this time, hoping to delete the payee.
However, Money says that the payee cannot be deleted since it is already
associated with an account in Money.

I never had a problem making ePayments to this payee in Money 2004; and I
don't seem to have a problem making ePayments to any other payees in Money
    2007.

What is causing this and how can I get around it?
