Now obviously most companies deal with interest in one way or another nowadays. My question is, what is the role of an accountant in terms of dealing with a companies interest? Is it simply recording the transactions, can it get into advising company leadership to take on interest based loans and such for the purpose of growing the company or keeping it afloat?

Just wanted to know the extent to which accountants deal with interest and their role in it for a company.

An entry level accountant will generally record the interest transactions. A more senior level person, such as the Controller, CFO, Treasurer, Finance Manager, etc will advise management on arranging loan financing.
