With all this "simplification" of the disability benefits system, is Disability Living Allowance still availible to claim?
Hubby is in a position of ever failing health, due to a chronic stable heart failure condition.

    TIA

It's still available and will continue to be for the forseeable future
(ie I've not seen anything suggesting changes to it).

DLA will still be available for the time being, there are some changes comming into effect in the new year but this is more around ability to work rather than taking away DLA

You don't say how old you husband is. If he's over 65 he can't claim
DLA, it has to be AA (Attendance Allowance). Similar procedure though.
