Do I have a dormant company?

First accounts.

Company has never traded. However, I opened a bank account after
formation and made a single opening deposit (which has earned some
interest). There have been no other transactions on the account.

Just called Companies House, guy said if I don't "consider" that
deposit to be a significant transaction then the company is indeed
dormant.

Is this correct?

If so, on the DCA form, is the "Cash at bank and in hand" the bank
balance or just the value of issued shares (I think it's the latter?).

Any pointers appreciated.

The value of "Cash at bank and in hand" is whatever the total is,
including Interest, provided it has been added to your cash. If the
amount at Bank happens to be equal and opposite to the value of the
shares, then no surprises there.

Technically if there are Bank transactions then you are "Non-trading"
rather than "Dormant", but tick "Dormant" because life is too short to
do otherwise.
