Hello,
I have a corporation in Pennsylvania. I sell apparels on demand, meaning that my customers pay first and then I buy exactly what they want and ship it to them.
Do I need to track inventory?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You would not have any inventory on the books until the transaction takes place with the customer.

Tx for your help CPAInsider. I am not sure to understand you though.

Here is an example:
June 20th, a customer orders a T-shirt on my website.
June 22nd, I order the T-shirt from my supplier.
July 3rd, I receive the T-shirt from my supplier.
Ju;y 5th, I ship the T-shirt to my customer.
July 7th, my customer receives the T-shirt.

At any of these steps, do I have inventory?
If yes, when do I have inventory (between which dates do I have inventory)?
Do I have to report it?

Thanks again for your help.

from 3rd July to 5th July means the day you received garment and the day you shipped it was in your stock and yes it would be counted as inventory in your business. Keeping it in books will help you to record the transaction against good sold.

Yes, as das stated, the inventory would only be on your books from the time you receive it until the time you ship it out. It would move on and off of your books very fast with that quick of a turnaround.
