Do neither TurboTax nor Quicken have perpetual Product Activation?

Last year because Intuit had in my opinion schemed against its users by
implementing perpetual product activation, I switched from TurboTax to
H&R Block's TaxCut.

Do neither TurboTax nor Quicken now have perpetual Product Activation?
For last year, I read about Turbo Tax having product activation, but I
don't recall reading that Quicken had it. I have since read that for
this year, Intuit claims TT no longer has perpetual product activation.

But in addition to TT, I use Quicken 2001 and would consider buying a
newer version if Intuit has not schemed Quicken users too. After
reading some messages here, it sounds like newer versions of Quicken may
also have perpetual product activation. What's really happening?

If you would bother to read the newsgroups before posting you'd have seen
the answer about a dozen times..............
