Is there a printed manual for using Office Accounting or at least a
downloadable version of a manual which I can print?

Ron,

1. There are 2 versions of Microsoft Office Accounting 2007 - the Express
and Professional version. Both have printable help screens (which are the
probably exactly the same at the moment.) I printed out the Express help
screens, all 719 pages. The documentation looks like it was basically
written for Professional with slight modifications for Express.

Here's how to print the help screens:
Help -> Microsoft Office Accounting Help -> right-click Startup and Settings
-> Print... -> Print the Selected Heading and All Subtopics. Then proceed to
print each additional heading.

DO NOT attempt to print all of the documentation at one time because it may
crash your computer.

2. I'm also writing a book (or 2) on Express. The first book will be
available in February, 2007.

3. I will be posting corrections for Microsoft Express's help screen
documentation in another few weeks.

Since Professional isn't released yet, I didn't print the help screens or
write any books on it.

4. Looking on Amazon, I see a book due out in December 2006 from Terri
Brunsdon. And also a book released May 2006 by Terri called Getting Started
w/Microsoft Office Accounting 2007 & Student CD Pkg. I don't see how this
last one could be much good since the product was still in alpha or beta back
in May 2006. But obviously she has inside contacts at Microsoft to have
known the name of the product back in May 2006, so maybe it's good, check it
out and let us know.

5. Looking at the Microsoft Press website, I don't see any current books on
the subject or planned in the future. Odd.

Hope this helps. If it does please tell Microsoft by pushing the Yes
button. If not, push the No button so a Microsoft support person knows to
help you.

Pam, This is good news. Are you comfortable sharing the table of
contents for your book? I'd love to get an advanced look at it.

SG,

It's with a big name publisher and I don't think I'm permitted to yet. I
will as soon as I have permission. Thanks for asking... I wouldn't have put
the table of contents up because I don't want to bother people with
"advertising", but since you asked, I will.

Great. Looking forward to it. Thanks.
