Does anyone know?

Ok, the average person here is aware of the fact that the bankruptcy
law has changed and it's impact is going to be profound.

But, I have talked to about 15 people since last week and 1, just 1,
knew the law had been changed, but thought it was already too late.

The signing of the law made every major (and most minor) media outlets
in April - why do all these people not have a clue?

What can we as attorneys do to get the word out better to people? We
are dreading the phone calls on October 18th asking if it is too
late....

There are quite a few firms in various cities that have begun TV ads
regarding the new law. I believe the ads are produced by a PR firm in
Chicago.

Just wait until these people find out that the minumum payments on their
CC's are going from 2-4% on their balance. I have told many people this
and they just think I am nuts. The problem is by the time they find out
I was right, the new BK law will have taken effect. What a mess this is
going to be. I have a feeling alot of houses are going to be sold after
10/17/05, as that appears to be the only way out for alot of people.
