Download Taken Offline?

I was looking around to see if Money Biz was available yet for purchase and download and it seems they have taken all the downloads offline. They must really be having problems! Correct me if I am wrong, but the download icons under the Money retail boxes are gone and the download text links just take you to a page where you cannot download the product.

The links were placed prematurely. The files should be available
9/27.

The URLs for the download purchase were inadvertently posted, so
some users did purchase the product online.

Once the system becomes live 9/27, then you will be able to get the
rest of the product you purchased downloaded. This will also be
when "support" for downloaded versions become available.

Carl: since you seem knowledgable I was wondering if you
knew when the list of supported banks etc. in the actual
Money 2005 will reflect that of the website, which
currently shows nearly 3 times more? Thanks...

Hey everybody thinking about buying this online: consider this the perfect
excuse to just go out and buy the CD if you really are itching to buy M05.
That way you'll always have the CD to reinstall as required. As to whether
you should be itching to buy M05, I'll leave you to read the other threads.

Actually, the rest of the "modules" are already available. Go to
File/Password Manager and sign in using the email address you used
when you purchased the program. Money will then download the
remaining files (takes about 5 minutes with a broadband connection)
and update the program.

Many of those you will have to be using a Passport for access.
Microsoft are aware that some financial institutions that should be
working are having a problem.

If you post the given institution that you are having problems with,
that makes it likely that that institution will be checked out
sooner. Also, another user may have current experience with that FI.

Carl for fun do this: go to new account / brokerages and
click "A" in the program. then go to the same on the MS
2005 website... there are about 100 on the website, 11 in
the program. it isn't a "problem" with my bank etc. that
someone can give me advice on... it is WHOLESALE missing
banks, brokerages, and credit card companies. I would
estimate OVER 50% OF THE LISTED (on the website) banks etc.
simply aren't in the program.

With AccountList->AddANewAccount->Investment, I get 11 BROKERAGES
that begin with A.

If I select BANKING, I get over 150 listed that start with A.

I did not count

Go to
http://www.microsoft.com/money/bank...er=A&FinananceOrganisationType=BrokeragesOnly
which is brokerages ONLY. the click "investments" in the
program under A. Easily a difference of over 90+. You can
see it all over the place... banks, brokerages, credit card
companies... over 50% or in some cases 90% of the elements
are missing from the program but listed on the web.
So you think Aberdeen Proving Ground FCU is a brokerage? That seems
to be a wider definition than I am used to, but probably they offer
their customers stocks or funds.

Assuming that Aberdeen Proving Ground FCU really should be on that
web page, it would be one of the institutions that you would be
accessing via Yodlee. That means that you will have to have a
Passport on your Money file to even see Aberdeen Proving Ground FCU
on the list.

Hmmm, tried that, and still only see the 11. Guess there is still
work to be done.

I have a passport set up. As I said, in any category...
in particular brokerages there are HUGE amounts of
missing elements in the program versus the promise on the
webpage. In the case of brokerages I would estimate 80-
90% of promised brokerages on the webpage ARE MISSING
from the program. As I said in another thread MS should
IMMEDIATELY DO THE FOLLOWING:

1) Fix the issue.
2) or: REMOVE ALL BANKS, BROKERAGES, and CREDIT COMPANIES
that AT THIS TIME DO NOT WORK IN THE PROGRAM FROM THE
WEBPAGE.
3) or: POST BIG BOLD WARNINGS on the webpage that
says "many of these banks, brokerages, and credit card
companies will not be available until October 2004 etc."
