In Quicken 2005 I tried to edit an online payee, I could not change the
account number.
Do I have to delete the payee and start over?

I think it has always been like that and it is implicit in the fact that the
online payOR does not allow the account number to be edited.

Yes. I just ran into this when I realized I had entered the wrong account
number for my credit card.

I have had trouble amending earlier registries in Cashbook 04 getting a
message that it could not record the transfer, and Q/Support were an
expensive noelp.
I now amend these occasionalhiccups by copying the transaction into the
same register, amending it OK and deleting the original obstinate
entry.
