Electronic Bill Presentment

I recently switched from using Checkfree (original user) to MSN BillPay within
Microsoft Money 2007.

I note on the MSN BillPay site there is an option, for several of my payees, to
receive the bills electronically.

If I choose to do this, how does this interact with Microsoft Money? (I've not
been able to find any documentation about this feature; and I don't want to use
it if I have to log on to the MSN BillPay web site and pay these bills outside
of Money).

While Money once had this feature, unfortunately there is currently no way
that I know of to view bills within the software (other than using the
internal web browser). If your bank is like my bank I view bills at their
website (or the merchants') but can pay the bills through the software. No,
it's not ideal.

If I understand you correctly, you are still able to pay the bills from within
Microsoft Money. Is that correct?

My bill pay provider is MSN Bill Pay. I'm guessing from what you write that
your bill pay provider is your bank. Is that correct?

Ron, my bank (Netbank) allows you to access their online bill pay via the
Money software. It is strictly PAYING bills, you don't get an image or
message in Money saying that you have a new bill. At one time (Money 2000
??) you would get a message and be able to view an image of the bill within
the software. That is the functionality that is no longer supported. Let me
know if you have further questions or want more explanation.

Thanks for that information.

I don't mind going to the BillPay web site to VIEW the bill, so long as I can
PAY it within Money.

However, if I don't even get a message in Money that there is a bill available
to be viewed, then the service is not particularly useful to me. I can get
notification directly from the various payees that provide that service.
