USA enrolled agent info

Hi, Im thinking about career change and thinking of becoming enrolled agent. I live in Florida. I want to ask how knowledgable about taxes you must be in order to enroll into enrolled agent course. I know you must pass three parts of the test, but I can not find anywhere whether you must have previous basic knowledge about taxes. Im not much knowledgeable about taxes, but would love to learn. Please advice where to start.
