Exporting to Excel

Is there a way to export report type data to Excel. There is the
possibility of certain payroll data being able to be exported but I can't
find any way to export, for example, a range of transactions.

Anyone out there find a way?

Thanks,

Jim

If you have Pro or better since Version 5 or 6 you can run a report to
the screen, and there is an Excel button on the top where the filters,
dates etc. are located. Click that button and it will open Excel with
your data contained in it. From there you can do as you wish in Excel
with it.

If you want certain ranges, crate the report first in QB then click the
Excel button.

If you don't have Pro but the basic version, you would have to create
the report, then send it to a print file, open that file in Excel and
format to your needs.

I have QBPro7.4 (Australia) and don't see an Excel button??

Printing to any of the file options produces unsatisfactory results for
me... all the indenting is lost which makes it very difficult to read.
Manually formatting the indenting is tedious.

I wish I had an Excel button.

BTW, I just shake my head when I generate a P&L report for a single
class, and I get all the info repeated under a Column headed Total... I
mean, wow!

The current 2003 Pro for Australia has the feature. Unfortunately I
don't know (I'm in the US) if your version has this option or not. I
researched this much out of Quicken.com.au.

I know sending reports to an export file doesn't work very well. Sorry.

A bit more research in the Quicken.Com.AU website reveals your version
is version no longer supported. If you need the Excel feature you might
consider updating.
